To the Legislative Assembly of Alberta;
We the undersigned residents of Alberta, petition the Legislative Assembly to reaffirm the Government of Alberta’s commitment to Early Childhood Education and Care.
We petition the Government of Alberta to:
- Expand the $25-per-day Alberta Early Learning and Child Care (ELCC) Centres pilot program so that it is accessible to all Alberta families;
- Phase-out public subsidies to for-profit child care providers;
- Create a concrete plan with clear timelines to build a universal system of Early Childhood Education and Care in Alberta.
